2010-11 Cheerleading Teams
• About The Program: George Mason University currently has both a small co-ed and all-girl team. The first priority of both teams is to promote Mason Athletics and generate school spirit. In addition to cheering for the Men's and Women's basketball games, the teams consistently qualify and compete in the UCA College Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, FL. For the past three seasons, the small co-ed team placed in the Top 3 at the UCA College Championships. Each member is required to maintain an overall 2.0 or greater GPA, and be registered as a full-time student. Becoming a member is a full school-year commitment, starting in August and ending in April. Scholarships are available, and are offered to our veterans who demonstrate overall commitment and dedication to the program.
• College Prep Clinics: TThe GMU cheer teams will host three stunt and tumbling clinics to help high school cheerleaders to learn new skills and prepare for cheering in college. Keep checking website for further information on these clinics. |
