2007-08 Cheerleading Teams

CONGRATULATIONS to the Mason Small Co-ed Team for placing 1st in taping and receiving a paid bid to the 07-08 UCA College Nationals.

Congrats to the new team members of the 07-08 cheer teams!

 • About The Program:

George Mason University currently has both a small co-ed and all-girl team. The first priority of both teams is to promote Mason Athletics and generate school spirit. In addition to cheering for the Men's and Women's basketball games, the teams consistently qualify and compete in the UCA College Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, FL. In the 06-07 season, the small co-ed team placed 2nd at the UCA College Championships and will travel to compete in January 2008.

 • College Prep Clinics:

The GMU cheer teams will host three stunt and tumbling clinics to help high school cheerleaders to learn new skills and prepare for cheering in college. These clinics will be in December, February and March. Keep checking website for further information on these clinics.

 • 2008-2009 Tryout Information

The upcoming try-out for the 08-09 cheer teams will be held Sunday, April 20th in the Mason Fieldhouse on the GMU campus.
