DiPenti Named to All-CAA Cross Country Team

FAIRFAX, Va. - George Mason University senior Michelle DiPenti (Warren, PA/Warren Area) was named to the 2002 All-Colonial Athletic Association women's cross country team, as announced by the conference today.

DiPenti was the highest finisher for George Mason's women's cross country team in all six meets this season, placing in the top five three times and in the top 10 in five of six meets.

She posted a career- and season-best time in the 5,000 meters at the James Madison Invitational, placing fifth among collegians in 18 minutes, 25.60 seconds (18:25.60). In the 6,000 meters, she recorded a season-best time of 22:26.87 to place 10th at the CAA Championships.

The All-CAA women's cross country team is comprised of the top 12 finishers from the CAA Championship.
