Patriots Conclude Cross Country Season at CAA Championships

The George Mason women's cross country team finished off the 2004 season on Saturday when the team participated at the 2004 CAA Cross Country Championships, hosted by James Madison. The Patriots, running on the six-kilometer New Market Battlefield course, were paced by Sara Hines, who was 37th overall with a time of 24:31.30 in her final collegiate meet.

Finishing second for the Patriots was Fianna York, who was 66th overall, with a time of 26:10.80. Ryann Holmes, also competing in her final collegiate meet, was 70th overall, with a time of 26:22.40. Julia Gaudet, Jessica Young and Melissa Ferry finished 73rd, 74th and 75th, respectively, while Meghan Millar was 78th. It was also the final meet of Millar's collegiate career.

The Patriots finished eighth as a team with a total of 237 points. The meet was narrowly won by William & Mary, which edged out James Madison by one point
