Women's Cross Country Finishes 10th at the Delaware Invitational

NEWARK, Del. - George Mason's women's cross country team finished 10th with 273 team points at the Delaware Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Host Delaware won the meet, finishing with 62 team points. American placed second with 71 team points and Towson finished third with 111 team points.

Alicia York was the top finisher for the Patriots, crossing the finish line 40th with a time of 20:36.98. Melissa Ferry placed 55th with a time of 21:15.44. Delaware's Julia Somers won the meet with a time of 18:26.27.

Mason's women's team will return to White Clay Creek State Park in Newark, Del on Friday, Oct. 27 to compete in the CAA Championships.
