George Mason graduate and former men's track and field star Marc Kellman returns to his alma mater in 2007-08 to begin his coaching career with the women's track and field team. Kellman's primary responsibilities will be coaching the sprinters and jumpers.

Kellman graduated from George Mason University in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in communications. While at Mason, he was a member of the men's track and field team for three seasons, transferring from West Virginia University after his freshman season when the Mountaineers cut their men's track and field program.

The Coram, N.Y. native jumped his way into the George Mason record books at the 2006 NCAA Indoor Championships, registering a leap of 16.43 meters (53 ft. 11 in.) to finish as the runner-up in the triple jump to Arkansas' Jaanus Uudmae. The mark stands as the fourth-best in the history of the program. During his outstanding collegiate career, Kellman earned three All-America honors, two IC4A Championships and two CAA Championships. He won back-to-back CAA Male Athlete of the Year awards during his junior and senior seasons.

Since graduating from George Mason, Kellman has moved on to a professional career, competing against some of the world's most talented athletes in the triple jump. In July, he won the gold medal in the event while representing the United States at the inaugural North America, Central America and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) Championships. Kellman's performance helped Team USA dominate the meet by winning one of the team's 28 gold medals, the most of any country.
