T.D. Holsclaw enters his third season as an assistant coach with George Mason's women's track and field team. He works primarily with sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers for the Patriots. Holsclaw, a USA Track and Field Level I certified instructor, brings with him nine years of coaching experience at the high school level, where he coached five state champions and 16 high school All-Americans. He won two Coach of the Year Awards - one at Hayfield Secondary and one at Salem High School. Prior to joining the staff at Mason, he was the head coach from 2002-2005 at Hayfield Secondary School in Alexandria, Va., where he coached current Mason sprinter Murielle Ahoure. In addition to his stay at Hayfield Secondary, Holsclaw also served as a head coach at Madison High School in Vienna, Va. from 2000-2002, at Salem High School in Virginia Beach, Va. from 1998-2000, and at Annandale High School in Annandale, Va. from 1996-1998. Before ascending to the head coaching level, Holsclaw was an assistant coach at Stonewall High School in Manassas, Va. for two years. Holsclaw is a 1990 graduate of Ferrum College with a bachelor's degree in psychology. He recently completed his master's degree in education with an emphasis in English as a second language from Shenandoah University. Holsclaw resides in Manassas, Va. with his wife, Tan, and two daughters, Dhamisaa, 4, and Madeline, 3. |
