2002 CAA Rookie of the Year
2003 Indoor: ECAC QUALIFIER: 55 METERS, 60 METERS, 200 METERS, 1600-METER RELAY; Scored in three events at the ECAC Championships, finishing third in the 200 meters in 24.49 seconds, after running a season- and meet-best 24.12 seconds during the prelims… Placed fifth in the 60 meters in 7.59 seconds, and ran the third leg of the fifth-placing 4x400-meter relay that clocked in at 3:44.42… Relay posted a season-best time of 3:40.27 – just 0.27 seconds of the NCAA provisional time – to win at Virginia Tech’s Last Chance Meet… Moved into fifth place on the GMU all-time indoor performers list after running a season-best 7.56 seconds in the 60 meters during the preliminary round of the Last Chance Meet… Also entered the top 10 of the 55 meter list with a winning 7.04-second performance at the Winter Open… Posted four top-five finishes in the 200, including winning twice. 2002 Outdoor: ECAC QUALIFIER: 100 METERS, 200 METERS, 400-METER RELAY; Recorded the team’s top times in the 100 and 200 meters… Claimed the CAA title in the 100, 200 and 4x100-meter relay… Named 2002 CAA Rookie of the Year – the second straight for the Patriots… Ran a season-best 11.92 seconds in the 100 to place second at the Maryland Invitational… Won the event twice… Ran a season-best 24.49 in the 200 to win at the season-opening Long Beach State Collegiate Classic… Won the 200 at the Mason Invitational… Ran the lead leg in the 4x1, capturing five top-five finishes and two wins… Placed third in a season-best 46.19 seconds at the Raleigh Relays… Relay placed seventh at the Penn Relays in the ECAC Division. 2002 Indoor: ECAC QUALIFIER: 60 METERS, 200 METERS; Posted the team’s top times in both the 60 and 200 meters… Ran a season-best 7.66 seconds as the fifth-placing collegian at the Penn State Open, to rank 10th on Mason’s all-time indoor performers list in the 60… Was runner-up among collegians at the season-opening Father Diamond Invitational… Placed seventh in the 60 at the ECAC Championships… Posted a season-best time of 24.47 seconds in the 200 meters to finish fourth at the Virginia Tech Invitational, and rank eighth on Mason’s all-time indoor performers list in the 200… Won the 200 at the Patriot Games. Prep: Competed in track & field for three years at HD Woodson High School… Three-time All-Met selection and two-time Gatorade Athlete of the Year… The 2001 DCIAA champion in the 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters and triple jump… The DCIAA record-holder in the 100… Also set the meet record in the 200 at the TC Williams Invitational.
