Feb. 20, 2003

FAIRFAX, Va. - George Mason University women's tennis head coach Michael Coleman announced Thursday that the match at George Washington, which was set for Saturday, February 22 at noon, has been postponed.

No make-up date has been set, however, there are on-going talks to have the contest rescheduled.

On the men's side, after announcing the cancellation of its season-opening match at Navy, men's tennis head coach Gary Quam has added Georgetown to the Patriot schedule. That contest will be held at the GMU Tennis Courts, March 6, at 2:30 pm.

The Patriot women, who are 1-5 overall on the season and 0-1 in the Colonial Athletic Association, will next be in action at home March 1, against UMBC at 1 p.m. at the GMU Tennis Courts. Mason's contest at Loyola has been changed from Feb. 25 to April 1. Game time against the Greyhounds remains at 3 p.m.

George Mason men's team, which sits at 1-1 overall and 0-0 in the CAA, will open its spring schedule at Maryland, on Wednesday, February 26, at 2 p.m.
