The Mason women's tennis team improved to 11-10 on the season with a 5-2 win against Mount Saint Mary's today. The Patriots look to improve upon last season's 11 regular season wins as they enter the last week of matches before the CAA Championship next week.

The first four singles matches and two of the three doubles matches were won by Patriots netters. Andreea Fusea and Maricel Ballester teamed up to defeat their doubles opponent, 8-1 and Fuseea blanked Jen Iosue in singles action at No. 1 singles. Ballester handled her opponent as well as she defeated Katie Muething, 6-1, 6-3. Senior Jen Dektas defeated Kaitlin Hallahan, 6-2, 6-1 and Julie Moscato defeated Whitney Edmonds 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 and No. 4 singles respectively. They joined to defeat the team on Muething/Hallahan at No. 2 doubles.

The Patriots travel to Morgan St. on Thursday and finish the week hosting Longwood on Saturday at noon.
