Women's Soccer to Hold Pair of Fundraisers This Winter

The George Mason women's soccer team will hold a pair of fundraising tournaments this winter and area coaches are invited to enter their teams and participate in the fun. The first event, the 10th Annual Girls Indoor Clinic and Soccer Tournament, will be held Jan. 20 and 21. The second event, the Third Annual Pre-Season Spring Scramble will take place March 22-23.

The Indoor Clinic will be held at George Mason University's Recreation Sports Complex (Field House) with each age group guaranteed a minimum of three games. On the 20th, the 9-year-old teams will have a clinic from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. and a tournament from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The 10-year-old teams will have a clinic from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. and a tournament from 1:30 p.m.-3 p.m. On the 27th, the Under 11-Under-12 teams will have a clinic from 4 p.m.-5 p.m. and a tournament from 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m. The Under 12-Under 13 teams will have a clinic from 6"30 p.m.-7:30 p.mm. and a tournament from 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m.

The Pre-Season Scarmble will take place on Mason's lit turf field utilizing a three-game round-robin format. The 12-14 year-old divisions will play on March 22 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and the 15-17 year-old divisions will play on March 23rd from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

The Entry Fee is $300 per team, per event and the fee will be a direct donation to the George Mason University Women's Soccer program.
