Freshman year earned a spot in the Varsity 8 that won CAA's. She is a very powerful rower with a great attitude. She has been able to improve technically and physically. She will be a big part of our success this year and future years. Prep Career: Lucas rowed three years at First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach, Va. She placed in numerous boats for the Patriots, including a gold medal in 2005 Novice 8 and Silver Medals in 2006 Varsity 8 and 2007 Varsity 4 boats. She was voted 2005 Coxswain's Favorite Rower and Most Dependable Rower in 2006 and was team captain her senior season. She won a gold medal in the Hampton Roads Erg Pull 2K and a bronze medal in the Mid-Atlantic Erg Sprints 2K this past spring. Personal: Her father was a varsity lacrosse and football player at Hobart College and brother Owen is a varsity athlete at the University of Mary Washington.
