Geoff Dillard is in his fourth year at the helm of the Mason rowing team. In his short time at Mason, Dillard has made an impact on the program. In 2007, for the first time in the program's 11-year history, guided the team to their first CAA Women's Overall Team Championship. In 2008, the team repeated as Overall CAA Team Champs, and captured the Kerr Cup for the first time ever by winning the Varsity 8+.

During the past two summers Geoff Dillard has been coaching at the Women's United States Rowing Development Camp hosted by Thompson Boat Center in Washington, DC. His first season was highlighted with wins at US Nationals in the Intermediate 4+ and Senior Lightweight 2-; Canadian Henley Senior Lightweight 2-. His second season was highlighted with wins at US Nationals in the Open Lightweight 8+ and Intermediate Lightweight 4+; Canadian Henley Senior 8+ Dash.

Dillard started his coaching career at his alma mater University of Dayton. In his first year of coaching he guided the Freshmen Lightweight Men's 8+ to a silver medal at SIRA and a bronze medal at Dad Vails. He then became the Women's assistant coach for two years, guiding the 2nd Varsity 8+ to a bronze medal at the A10 Championships. Dillard was then promoted to Head Women's Coach in 2003 and guided the Flyers the next two years to two top 5 team finishes at the A10 Championships, 5th place finish in the Varsity 8+ at ECAC, and a nationally ranked Lightweight 8+.

As a student-athlete he was awarded the Most Outstanding Senior Award in 2000. He rowed five seat in lightweight 8+ as a senior that placed second at SIRA, second at Dad Vail and finished fifth in the Petite Finals IRA. The team finished 13th in the U.S. Rowing Coaches Poll. 1999 he rowed for the Riverside Boat Club Olympic Development Lightweight Camp. He competed at U.S. Nationals, Club Nationals and Canadian Henley.

Dillard is a Boston, Mass, native that attended the University of Dayton earning his bachelor's degree in sport management. He currently resides in Arlington, VA.
