Meg Dentler enters her fourth season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Patriots after spending the previous four seasons as a standout player. Dentler became the first-ever Mason student-athlete to win the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year award in lacrosse when she earned that honor during her senior season of 2005. She was a Third-Team IWLCA/USL All-American that year as well as a First-Team All-Virginia selection by VaSID. In 2004, Dentler became just the second player in Patriot history to earn Second-Team IWLCA/USL All-American honors, joining former teammate Jill Toomey. She was also chosen to the All-South Region Team that year as she was fifth in the nation in save percentage (.570). The CAA Rookie of the Year in 2002 and a four-time All-CAA player, including three selections to the first team, Dentler ranks first in Mason history in saves, save percentage, games played and games started. |
