Men's Cross Country Set to Open the Season at the Navy Invitational

FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason University men's cross country team open its 2003 season Saturday with a visit to Annapolis for the Navy Invitational.

At the helm of the men's cross country team is seventh year head coach Dalton Ebanks. The men look to seniors Ben Sommers (Nashua, NH/Nashua) and Ricardo Cunningham (Clarendon, Jamaica) to pace the team in 2003. Sommers led the men's team on the 8,000-meter Navy course last season to finish 71st in 27:43.10.

Other athletes to watch are sophomore Dennis Moriarty (Rochville Centre, NY/Southside) and junior Alex Gornik (Chesapeake, VA/Great Bridge).
