Men's Cross Country Finishes 15th at the Southeast Regional Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - George Mason's men's cross country team finished in 15th place with 428 total points at the NCAA Division I Southeast Regional Cross Country Championships on Saturday at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky. North Carolina State (64 points) and William & Mary (70 points) finished 1-2 at the meet, thus earning a trip to the NCAA Championships on Nov. 20 in Terre Haute, Ind.

Senior Charles Millioen was the top finisher for the Patriots, placing 44th with a time of 32:07.80 on the 10,000-kilometer course. Freshman Robert Krause was the next Patriot runner to cross the finish line, finishing 57th with a time of 32:29.55. Junior Kris Cruz finished 93rd (32:59.10), junior John Crain was 114th (33:19.15), junior Ryan Davis was 132nd (33:32.30), freshman Andrew Holloway was 145th (33:47.05) and freshman Travis Boccher was 164th (34:21.95). Eastern Kentucky's Jacob Korir won the individual title with a time of 30:03.10.

The NCAA Southeast Regional was one of nine regional events around the nation scheduled for Saturday where the top two teams in each race earned automatic bids to the NCAA Championships on Nov. 20 in Terre Haute, Ind. The remaining 13 spots in the field of 31 for each championship race will be filled by at-large selections based on points scored against other championship caliber squads.
