Cunningham Paces Mason to Seventh Place at CAA Championships

HUNT VALLEY, MD ... The George Mason men's cross country team placed seventh Saturday at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships at Oregon Ridge Park. The event was hosted by Towson University.

William & Mary won both team titles, with the women scoring 18 points and the men scoring 20 points. The Patriot men scored 182 points to place seventh.

Senior Ricardo Cunningham paced the Patriot men as he placed 29th with a time of 27 minutes, 52 seconds over the 8,000-meter course. He was followed by teammates sophomore Andy Tramel, who was 43rd in 28:52; sophomore Dennis Moriarty, 44th in 28:54; senior Ben Sommers, 59th in 30:46; and freshman Bryan MacWilliams, 63rd in 31:26. For scoring purposes, Cunningham was 24th, Tramel 32nd, Moriarty 33rd, Sommers 45th and MacWilliams 48th.
