The George Mason men's cross country team ran in the William and Mary Invitational today, finishing last in the five-team event. Host William and Mary had four runners finish in the top six to claim the title, scoring only 21 points.

The fastest time was clocked by Jason Schoener, who was not running for a team, with a time of 25:14.21. David Murph was the top Tribe finisher, placing second which was almost 20 seconds behind the leader.

The Patriots were led by John Crain's 30th place finish in 27:19.69. Ryan Davis was just behind him, finishing 35th with a time of 27:37.21. The remaining runners scoring for the Patriots were Charles Bowles (29:56.05), Todd McDaniel (30:08.13) and Ryan Miller (31:18.47). Mason finished with 126 points.

The runners will end the season at the CAA Tournament on October 29.
