
Men's Cross Country Finishes Third at Mason Invitational

George Mason's men's cross country team finished third behind Indiana University and Charlotte today at the Mason Invitational held at Bull Run Regional Park in Manassas, Va. The Patriots had three runners finish in the top 20. Indiana University scored 23 points with five runners finishing in the top 10 easily outdistancing Charlotte, who finished with 59 points. Indiana's Jordan Kyle finished the 8k run first overall with a time of 24:45.36. The next four runners finished within two seconds of each other with Charlotte's Adu Dentamo finishing runner-up with a time of 25:07.01. The Patriots were led by Charles Millioen, finishing in seventh place overall with a time of 25:16.99. Kris Cruz was the next Mason runner across the line in 25:24.40 and 11th overall. Rounding out the top 20, Mason's John Crain had a time of 25:35.36 and 18th place. Rob Krause finished 23rd and Travis Boccher rounded out the scoring for the Patriots running the course in 25:49.65 and 26:19.59 respectively. The Patriots finished with 95 points. The University of Richmond finished on the heels of the Patriots with 107 total points and the cross country team from UNC-Greensboro finished in fifth with 123 points in the 13 team race.
