PRIMM, Nev. - George Mason wrestling concluded the two-day Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational tournament on Saturday with 32.5 team points, good for a 26th-place finish. Redshirt junior Harry Zander placed at the prestigious tournament, finishing fourth at 197 pounds.

Zander went 8-2 at the tournament, and 3-1 on the second and final day of action. He began Saturday with two consecutive pin fall victories against Cal Poly's Matt Monteiro and Rider's T.J. Morrison. After earning a win by forfeit against Michigan's Nick Roy, Zander advanced to the championship bout of the consolation bracket, losing to Hofstra's Chris Weidman by pin fall to finish fourth.

On the first day of action, Zander defeated Oregon State's Travis Gardner 14-12 to open up the afternoon. He dropped a close 8-4 decision to Larry Reichard of Ohio University in his next match to fall into the consolation bracket. After falling into the consolation bracket, Zander dominated in his next three matches, scoring a pin fall win against Embry-Riddle's Graham Weston, a seven-point decision against Columbia's Kirk Davis and another pin fall, this time against Pittsburgh's Eric Cassidy. In his final match of the day, Zander earned a hard-fought one-point victory, 11-10, against Northern Illinois' Nick McClone.

The National Park, N.J. native scored victories against three ranked wrestlers, including Monteiro (ranked 12th by Amateur Wrestling News), Morrison (ranked 14th by Amateur Wrestling News) and Roy (ranked 11th by Amateur Wrestling News). Third-place finisher Weidman is currently ranked ninth by Amateur Wrestling News.
