Former George Mason standout Adrian Austin returns for his second year as an assistant with the Patriots' wrestling team. He was a team captain his final two seasons with the Patriots and earned the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in each of his seasons.

The Colonial Heights, Va. native finished his Mason career sixth in all-time wins, recording a 103-47 record. He earned three trips to the NCAA Championships, including an automatic bid his senior year after winning the individual title at 149 pounds at the CAA Championships.

As a senior, Austin posted a 38-8 overall mark and claimed two other 149-pound individual titles to go with a CAA championship, winning the Beast of the East College Invitational and the Virginia Intercollegiate State Championship. He also placed highly at several prestigious national tournaments, including an eighth-place showing at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational and second at the East Stroudsburg Open. Austin also had a 13-0 record in dual meets, including an undefeated 8-0 CAA mark.

Austin graduated in 2004 with a B.S. in marketing and a minor in business management. He currently works in sales for a condominium association.
