Dustin Crosby enters his fourth season as a member of the Mason coaching staff. After serving as a student assistant coach in 2005, Crosby became a volunteer assistant coach the next season. The former George Mason player has been a part of the program for seven years going back to his playing days. As a player, Crosby was quite versatile, setting, playing outside hitter and doing whatever Coach Chao asked him to do on the court. In 2002, he tallied 94 assists and just three kills. In 2003, he had 96 kills and 49 digs. As a senior in 2004, he had 196 kills, 171 assists and 106 digs. Crosby is a 1999 graduate of Kempsville High School where he was a member of the National Junior Honor Society. A native of Virginia Beach, Va., he was recruited by Rutgers-Newark and Springfield before choosing Mason. |
