
Men's Tennis Falls to Drexel on Blustery Day
April 6, 2007 Fairfax, Va. - The George Mason men's tennis team fell to a strong Drexel team, 1-6. The team fought hard but the weather and Drexel were too much to overcome on an extremely windy and cold day of tennis. In doubles play, Dan Schneider and Stas Budagov struck gold at the No. 2 position defeating Drexel's Pangilinan and Clare, 8-5. Jordan Lipstock earned Mason's sole singles win and team point at the No. 4 position. He defeated Wadhwan in two sets, 6-1, 6-2. Jay Friedman and Martin Brown each fought hard in three set defeats at the No. 3 and No. 6 positions respectively. The team will travel to Delaware on Friday to take on the Blue Hens. The match will start at 2 p.m. Doubles 1)Friedman/Lipstock lost 6-8 to Laales 2)D. Schneider/Budagov won 8-5 over Pangilinan/Clare 3)M. Schneider/Vaughn lost 6-8 to Wadhwan/Trabin
