Feb. 20, 2008

Mason fell to No.14 Mary Washington in men's tennis action this past Sunday in Fredericksburg, Va. The Netters move to 1-3 on the season following the loss. The Patriots managed to win one singles match and one doubles match, losing 6-1. Mason also split two exhibition matches going 1-1.

In singles action Brian Fitzgerald won the match at the No. 1 singles match 6-3, 6-4. Stas Budagov battled against Evan Goff of UMW to win the second set, 6-4, but could not come out with a win losing the other two sets, 6-4, 6-4. Dan Schneider clashed at the No.3 spot against Zach Detweiler. With a tie score at 5-5 in the first set Schneider was forced into overtime, but lost the advantage as well as the match, 7-5.
