
Mason Men Fall to Liberty in a Strong Showing

Fairfax, Va. - The George Mason men's tennis team suffered their third defeat in a row as the fell to Liberty 7-2, on January 27. Liberty took five of the singles matches and two doubles matches en route to their victory. For Mason, Jordan Lipstock brought home his first singles win of the season, as he defeated Luis Olivera, 6-4, 6-4. Dan Schneider, Jay Friedman and Martin Brown all took their matches to the third set before falling. In doubles play, Mason's Daniel Schneider and Stas Budagov defeated Olivera and Jaun Reyes in Mason's only doubles win on the day, winning by a score of 8-3. Mason will be back in competition on February 10, 2007, as they face-off against Mary Washington in Fredericksburg. January 27, 2007 Doubles 1.
