
Men's and Women's Soccer to Host Scout Nights at George Mason Stadium

FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason men's and women's soccer programs will each host promotional outings for local boy scouts and girl scouts in conjunction with an upcoming CAA matchup. Girl Scout Day is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 26, when the Mason women host Old Dominion (1 p.m.) at George Mason Stadium. The day will feature a halftime sing-a-long for the girl scouts featuring songs such as "Girl Scouts Together," "Make New Friends," "Brownie Smile Song" and "This Land is Your Land". The girl scouts in attendance will also be invited to be part of player introductions before the start of the match. Tickets can be purchased by girl scouts and their families for $1 per person in advance of the game. Reservations must be made by Oct. 17 by contacting the Mason Athletic Ticket Office at 703-993-3270 or faxing in the order form. Boy Scout Night will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, when the men's team hosts UNC-Wilmington at 7 p.m. The night will feature the first annual boy scout sleepover at Mason Stadium. Boy Scouts in attendance will be able to participate in several activities throughout the evening, including game ball chasers, post-game soccer contests, sleepover and raffle prizes for scouts in attendance. Tickets are $5 per person and include your ticket to the match and admission to the sleepover. All scouts involved in the sleepover should be at least eight years old. Reservations must be made by Oct. 22 by contacting the Mason Athletic Ticket Office at 703-993-3270 or faxing in the order form.
