Fairfax, Va.--George Mason University's men's soccer team (6-6-1) dropped a 1-0 double-overtime decision to Liberty (6-7-1) Friday evening at George Mason Stadium.

In the 107th minute of the game, Mason's senior goalkeeper John O'Hara (Foxford, Ireland) blocked a shot from Liberty freshman forward Toby Lewis, which set-up sophomore midfielder Adrian Bumbut as he retrieved the rebound for the Flames. Bumbut took a hard shot from about 10 yards out to pass O'Hara and saw the ball sail in for the win.

Junior forward Teba McKnight (Couva, Trinidad) fired off a game-high six shots, while freshman midfielder Adam Lobene (Rochester, N.Y.) amassed a game second-best four on the night.

The Patriots outshot the Flames, 23-11, and Mason also had the advantage on the corner kicks as the Patriots amassed 12 to Liberty's one.

O'Hara was in net the entire game for the Patriots and collected two saves, while giving up one goal. Senior K.J. Sabotchick collected 10 saves on the evening and allowed no goals for Liberty.

The Patriots return to action on Oct. 17 when they face Radford at 1 p.m. at George Mason Stadium.
