Golf's Marshall Tinsley Tied for 8th at ODU-Seascape Collegiate

Oct. 28, 2008

George Mason University sophomore Marshall Tinsley carded a first round score of even par 70 at the 29th annual ODU-Seascape Collegiate Golf Tournament in Kitty Hawk, NC. He is tied for eighth, just three strokes behind the tournament leader Cole Turner of George Washington who finished with a 67. The second round of the 36-hole event concludes on Tuesday at the par 70, 6,131 yard course.

As a team, the Patriots are currently tied for 12th with a first round score of 303. Campbell University is the leader after the first round with a team score of 285 and Radford is second at 287.

Freshman Josh Apple continues to play well for the Patriots shooting a one-over par 71 on the day and tied for 15th overall. Mason didn't get a lot of balance from the team as the other scores carded were in the low 80s.
