Princeton, N.J. - George Mason's golf team finished 12th out of 17 teams at the Princeton Men's Golf Invitational. The Patriots junior Mike Kirby placed fourth overall at the tournament shooting rounds of 74, 70 and 73, just three strokes off individual winner Maryland's John Eades.

George Washington won the tournament played at the par 71, 6,390 yard Springdale Golf Club in Princeton, N.J. The Colonials shot a three-round 881 (297-292-292) to finish +29 for the tournament, just a shot ahead of Princeton's 882 (306-284-292).

Mason's Dan Hurley tied for 47th overall, shooting in the mid-70s; 79, 75 and 77 were his three rounds for a 231 total. Mike Cavanagh struggled in his first two rounds, shooting an 82 and 80, before turning in an even par 71 on the final round. Nick DeSimone was just behind Cavanagh, shooting 234 (77-80-77), which placed him 59th overall. Ryan Younger rounded out the Patriots five players, shooting a 243 (80-79-84).
