Darryl Monroe returns for his second season with the Patriots and will fight for a starting role in the front court... Was a starter in 2006-07 before missing last season as a medical redshirt... Is a strong inside player, a solid rebounder and an exceptional passer... Major is integrative studies.

2007-08: Earned a medical redshirt after undergoing toe surgery in October. 2006-07: Shot 71.4 percent from the field in the CAA Tournament... Played in all 33 games for the Patriots and started 19 contests... Had first career double-double on Feb. 3 against Old Dominion, setting career highs for points, with 17, and rebounds, with 11... Had second career double-double in CAA Tournament win over Hofstra, going for 10 points and 10 rebounds... Played 24 minutes in Mason debut earning the starting nod... Made 6 of 7 shots from the field for 12 points... Also had one rebounds and one assist... Played 12 minutes against Wichita State but was in foul trouble for much of the contest... Came off the bench against Hampton playing 25 minutes and setting career high with three assists... Tied that figure with three assists at UNC Wilmington (1/29)... Had career-high eight rebounds against Florida International, going 4 of 4 from the field and 1 of 1 from the free throw line... Played six minutes against Bucknell and converted his one shot... Had five rebounds in 24 minutes at Radford... Had team's lone block at Duke... Had six points and four rebounds with two steals against UNC Wilmington... Tied for the team lead in rebounding at Towson, with seven... Started at William & Mary and home against Northeastern averaging 8.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in those two games... Had 14 points on 7 of 9 shooting in first meeting with VCU and had 13 points and nine rebounds in the second meeting... Set career-high with four assists at Delaware and topped that the next time out with five assists against Kent State... Had eight rebounds, six on the offensive end, against Georgia State... Set a career high against the Panthers with three blocks... Followed that up with two blocks at Northeastern and has had two blocks in CAA Tournament wins over Hofstra and Old Dominion... Nine of 19 blocks came in final six games.

At Central Florida Community College: Played two years for the Patriots and received National Junior College Athletic Association Honorable Mention All-American in 2005-06... Shot 60 percent from the field on the year and 46 percent from 3-point range while averaging 18.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.6 steals while leading Central Florida C.C. to a 21-10 overall record... Patriots were 13-2 in the Mid-Florida Conference, good enough to earn the conference championship... Selected to the NJCAA Division I All-Star game... As a junior, averaged 15.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.

High School: Played four years of basketball at First Colonial High School... Named All-Region and All-District as both a junior and senior... Was selected team Most Valuable Player both seasons.

A 2004 graduate of First Colonial High School...
