Was 3 for 5 with two RBI against Western Carolina on March 1... Was 3 for 4 against Liberty on March 26... Was 3 for 4 with a triple, two runs and three RBI on March29 against Old Dominion... 2007: Started all 54 games for the Patriots batting at both the top and the bottom of the order... Hit .263 in 198 at-bats with 23 RBI, 36 runs scored and one home run... Was 3 for 6 on the base paths... Was sixth on the team with 15 multi-hit games... Opened the season going 2 for 4 in back-to-back games against Clemson... Had first RBI of the season against College of Charleston (Feb. 25) and followed that up with two RBI against William & Mary (March 2)... 2006: Played in 41 games, all starts for the Patriots... Had 34 starts at shortstop and seven at second... Batted .261 with 36 hits including nine doubles, one triple, 19 RBI and 12 runs... Had a .321 on-base percentage and .341 slugging percentage... Had nine multi-hit games... Was 2 for 3 with an RBI at South Alabama... Was 3 for 4 with two runs against Pittsburgh... Was 3 for 4 with three RBI against George Washington... Had two distinct seasons, batting .333 in first 20 games and .200 over the final 21 games.
PREP: Earned four letters in baseball and three in football for the Green Knights... As a senior, batted .420 with four HR, 28 RBI and 24 SB while committing just three errors... Named All-NNJIL, All-Suburban, All-County, All-Parochial and All-State as a senior... As a sophomore and junior, received the same honors with the exception of All-State... Brother Bobby played baseball at Wagner, brother Bryan played football at Kent State and brother Brad played basketball at Marywood... Uncle, Walt, was a Major League All-Star and AL Rookie of the Year... A 2005 graduate of Saint Joseph Regional High School where he received the Most Outstanding Award in both Spanish and Geometry... Selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 47th round of the 2005 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft... Also recruited by St. Joseph, St. John's, Seton Hall and North Carolina... Majoring in exercise science.
