Darren McLean enters his final season at Mason and is expected to pitch out of the bullpen. 2009: Took the mound nine times and compiled a 1-0 record with six strikeouts in eight and two-third innings... Took the mound in the season's opening weekend allowing a hit and two walks but no runs in one-third of an inning against UNC Asheville (2/21)... Held Lehigh off the board in an 8-3 win on March 15... Pitched twice against Marist (3/17 and 3/18), combining to allow three hits and two earned runs in two and one-third innings... Did not allow an earned run against Mount St. Mary's (3/31)... Gave up runs against George Washington (4/7) and Towson (4/12) but rebounded to pitch perfect innings against Rider (4/29) and south Carolina (5/29)... Had a season-high two strikeouts twice, against GW and Rider... Did not allow a walk in seven of nine appearances. 2008: Appeared in 16 games with three starts spanning 32 and two-third innings...
