Robby Jacobsen is a 2006 graduate of George Mason University with a degree in sports management... The former Patriot standout currently plays in the Washington Nationals farm system and just completed his third season of professional baseball... In 2006, Jacobsen played in the Gulf Coast League, finishing second in the GCL in games played and third in at-bats... Hit .249 with 16 RBI and 14 SB in 51 games... In Single A Hagerstown in 2007, played in 70 games with 243 at-bats and two home runs and 11 steals... Split 2008 between Vermont and Hagerstown, playing in 46 games with two homers and four steals... Will work with the team in the fall and preseason and will return to spring training in early March.

Was second on the team with 55 runs and third on the team with 45 RBI... Committed just three errors all season, fielding .993 on the year... 2004: Started all 58 games at catcher for the Patriots and played all but a handful of innings... Hit .293 with 12 homers, 39 RBI and 44 runs scored... Had a .525 slugging percentage and set a single-season school record with 242 at-bats... Was fourth on the team in homers and fifth in hits and slugging percentage... Wore down as the season wore on... Was hitting .358 on April 3 but slumped to .289 on May 18... During that 22-game stretch, was 20 for 95 (.211) with four homers and just two walks... Managed 17 RBI in that span but struck out 23 times and had a .235 on-base percentage... Hit .317 in the final 10 games and slugged .537... Was 3 for 3 with two homers and three RBI against Canisius on March 6... Had four RBI twice, first going 2 for 5 against UMBC with a home run, then going 3 for 3 with two homers against Delaware.... Was 4 for 5 with three steals on March 7 against Canisius... Patriots were 8-2 when he homered
