2009-10: Recorded a pair of fifth-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.44) and the 500-yard freestyle (4:54.40) while also finishing 11th in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:20.75) ... Also swam on Mason's second-place 400-yard freestyle relay (3:24.25) and 800-yard freestyle relay (7:22.40).
2008-09: Swam on Mason's 3rd place 800-yard freestyle team ... Individually finished 13th in the 500-yard freestyle (4:57.40), 20th in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:23.50) and 21st in the 400-yard IM (4:33.61) at the CAA Championships.
2007-08: Finished fifth in the 400-yard IM (4:32.27), eighth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:25.99), 10th in 500-yard freestyle (4:57.00), and was a part of the third-place 800-yard freestyle relay (7:25.20) at the CAA Championships.
Prep: Swam four years for the Skyhawks, earning a letter each year ... was team captain from 2003-2007, and earned the Bob Castle Student-Athlete Award all four years of high school ... also lettered one year in soccer ... swam eight years for SwimQuest Club Team and played 10 years of club soccer with Richmond Kickers ... National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta member.
Personal: Parents are Brian and Kathy Kane ... older brother Matt (21) is in his fourth year as a member of the Patriots swim team ... enjoys sleeping, soccer, and reading ... majoring in biology.
