5/14/08 Baseball Mason Baseball Changes Schedule to Play Doubleheader on Thursday The Patriots baseball team's home series against the William and Mary Tribe has been moved up because of the inclement weather forecast for Friday. Instead of playing one game to start the series on Thursday, Mason will now play a double-header beginning at Noon. The final game of the three-game series is scheduled for Friday at 3 p.m. Both the Patriots and the Tribe will be playing in next week's CAA Tournament and they are battling for third and fourth place in the postseason tourney. 5/14/08 Women's Rowing Mason Rowing Finishes Banner Season at The Dad Vail Regatta On Friday, May 9th and Saturday, May 10th The George Mason University women's rowing team competed in the final race of the season at the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia. Mason Rowing fielded boats in the Novice 8, the Second Varsity 8 and the Varsity 8 races. The Novice 8, seeded 11th, finished the regatta with the 7th fastest time and the Second Varsity, seeded 10th, exceeded all expectations with a fourth place finish. Read More

Both the Patriots and the Tribe will be playing in next week's CAA Tournament and they are battling for third and fourth place in the postseason tourney. 5/13/08 General Release Mason Earns Diversity in Athletics Award The George Mason athletics department was recognized for its efforts in the area of diversity as it was one of 10 schools nationally to earn the Diversity in Athletics Award in the category of African-American Graduation: Male Student-Athletes.
