George Mason Stadium is an expertly landscaped outdoor facility and home to the men's and women's soccer teams, the men's and women's outdoor track and field teams and the women's lacrosse team. There is grandstand seating for 5,000 spectators, an all-weather track and an electronic scoreboard. George Mason Stadium has hosted NCAA Championship soccer matches, as well as practices for the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team, the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team and visiting teams that participated in World Cup competition in 1994 and 1999. George Mason will host the 2005 CAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships for the fourth time in school history, having hosted in 1991, '95 and '99, April 22-23, 2005. George Mason Stadium has hosted many IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships, featuring some of the top track and field athletes on the East Coast. |
