Annual Cash Donations:
Cash, checks made payable to the GMU Foundation, and MasterCard/Visa/American Express credit card transactions are the most common forms of annual support.

Matching Gifts: Many corporations match employee contributions. Gift credit is given for your personal donation and the company's matching gift. Contact your employer's human resources department to obtain the proper forms and to determine if your gift is eligible for a company match.

Planned Giving: A planned gift includes contributions made through a bequest, charitable lead trust, charitable remainder trust, life insurance policy, individual retirement account, charitable gift annuity, pooled income fund, and combinations of these gift vehicles. Appreciated securities and real estate are accepted by the Patriot Club and George Mason University.

Gifts-In-Kind:
Contributions of product, merchandise, equipment, or services are often provided in support of Mason Athletics. These gifts may satisfy priority seating requirements. Gift-in-kind donations must receive approval from the Patriot Club.

All Patriot Club donations will be receipted and acknowledged by the George Mason University Office of Development. Our fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30.

For tax purposes, if you receive benefits for your donation, you are eligible to claim 80% of your total donation. If you choose to forfeit benefits in order to claim 100% of your donation, please check the appropriate box on the Pledge/Contribution form.
