NCAA RULES FOR MASON FANS
Thank you for your support of George Mason University athletics. Your support is essential in keeping our tradition of athletic integrity intact. NCAA rules govern every facet of life for our student-athletes, coaches and University. The Final Four run by our Men's Basketball team has brought tremendous attention to our program.
One of the most common problems is boosters, alumni and/or friends of Mason giving "extra benefits" to a student-athlete or their family that are not normally available to all Mason students and their family. The term "extra benefits" includes money, meals (except in approved settings), transportation, loan of a car, free or reduced housing, gifts etc.
