5/9/08 Wrestling Mason Wrestling Earns 2007-08 NWCA All-Academic Team Honors On the mat, the George Mason wrestling team enjoyed one of its most successful seasons in recent history this past season, earning 13 dual wins, the most for Mason since the 1991-92 season, when the team won its first of five CAA titles. The Patriots also performed in the classroom, ranking 12th in the nation with a cumulative team GPA of 3.062 on their way to earning 2007-08 NWCA Division I All-Academic Wrestling Team honors. 5/9/08 General Release Gordon Bradley Memorial Service has Moved Indoors to the Center for the Arts on Campus The Gordon Bradley public memorial service scheduled for today at 1:00 p.m. has been moved indoors due to inclement weather and now be held at the Center for the Arts on the campus of George Mason University. The service was originally scheduled to be held at the George Mason stadium where the U.S. National Hall-of-Famer Bradley coached for 16 seasons and remains the most successful soccer coach in George Mason history. 5/7/08 Softball Breau, Jones Earn All-CAA Softball Awards George Mason sophomore designated player Ashli Breau was recognized for her record-breaking performance this season as she was selected to the Colonial Athletic Association's All-CAA second team, announced Wednesday evening at the conference's annual awards banquet. Additionally, sophomore utility player Ciera Jones was named to the conference's All-Rookie team. Read More
5/7/08 General Release Mason Teams Show Academic Improvement in NCAA APR Scores Each of the George Mason University's 22 NCAA-sponsored athletic programs met or exceeded the required minimum score on the Academic Progress Rate (APR) report according to the fourth round of APR scores released by the NCAA today.
